Simple Administrator Functions
Site Admin Menu
- Information
Information is to edit the site information, the site name, slogan, your customer service email, and site status (to enable and disable the site).
- Logo
Logo is where you'll upload a logo for your site.
- Favicon
Favicon is where you'll upload a favicon for your site. A favicon (pronounced "fave-icon") is a small, iconic image that represents your website. Favicons are most often found in the address bar of your web browser, but they can also be used in lists of bookmarks in web browsers and feeds.
- Template
Template is used to change the template, the look and feel, of your website.
- Header Image
Header Image is where you'll upload an image to use on the header of your site.
- Restore Site
Restore Site is used to restore your site to a previous version. Available backup site versions are listed, and are saved automatically and also can be saved by the admin.
- Page List
Page List lists all your site pages, and contains links to manage pages. There are links to edit the page info, page contents, restore a page, copy a page or delete a page.
- New Page
New Page takes you to enter information for a new page, and then to edit the content.
- The Page admin submenu
For each page name listed under the Page admin menu, there is a sub menu accessed by mouse rollover of the page name. On this submenu, there are functions to edit the page info and content, view, or restore a page.
The Page admin submenu:- edit info Edit info is where you change the information about a page, the title, the page key which is used in the web address instead of the page id, which is rather long and cryptic, the Meta Description which is used to describe the page to search engines like Google, the Meta Keywords which really aren't used at all by search engines, and checkboxes to allow the search engine robots (also called crawlers) to access and log your page for searches, to designate the page as required, to use the template or display the page without much of the template,
- edit content Edit content is where you will edit the text and content on a page.
- restore page
Restore Page is used to restore your page to a previous version. Available backup page versions are listed, and are saved automatically and also can be saved by the admin.
- view page
List page is a convenient link to view the page.
- List Users
List Users lists all your site users, and contains links to manage them. There are links to edit the user info, and delete a user.
- New User
New User takes you to enter information for a new user, the username, displayname, password, email and role of the user (Site Guest, Site User, or Site Admin).
- The Users
Each user name listed under the user admin menu is a link to edit that user's information.
- Help List
A list of help titles as links to the view help.
- User Guides
A list of userguide titles as links to the view userguides.
